Trip Itinerary:

Day 1:  Depart for Blue Zebra –Sengabay Salima at 8:00 am, to be transferred by 10:00 am (boat).

A Wild Island Paradise: The exclusive Blue Zebra Island Lodge is situated on Nankoma Island, part of the Marelli Archipelago in Lake Malawi National Park (UNESCO World Heritage site). The perfect getaway for nature lovers looking for a combination of adventure and relaxation in a tranquil, private setting. The 3 islands are home to a vast array of fresh water fish, including some of the rarest and colorful in the world. The islands support diverse flora and fauna and are a bird watcher's paradise. Activities include nature trails, birding, kayaking, snorkeling, wake boarding, water skiing, tubing, sunset cruise, seasonal scuba diving. Relaxing at the infinity pool & cocktail bar or chilling out on the hammocks.

Day 2:  After an early breakfast, Depart for Cape Maclear (Mumbo Island).

Enroute: Visit Kungoni Centre of Culture and Art re (MUA )Mission to experience some of the Malawian cultures. Established in 1976 by a Canadian Missionary Fr. Claude Boucher Chisale, since then he has dedicated his life in researching, recording and preserving Malawian culture. The Centre has grown from an art co-operative to a vibrant cultural Centre. It provides insights into the history and culture of Malawi through the Chamare Museum, the Carving Centre and the Research Centre/Library. The museum describes the Chewa, Ngoni and Yao cultures, it also holds a unique display of Gule Wamkulu masks, texts and images and dances will be arranged.

Overnight: Mumbo Island (Kayak Africa) - Full board

Day 3: Participate in all the activities of the island which includes snorkeling, kayaking, boat safari, diving, walking safari and sunbathing.

Lake Malawi National park was established to protect the cichlid fish unique to Lake Malawi and it’s the first freshwater National Park in the world, it was also declared by UNICEF a world Heritage Site. Much prized as aquariums fish, there are over a thousand different species of these little jeweled wonders, many as yet undescribed. Taking advantage of this blaze of biodiversity, snorkeling and diving around the island is a must.

Day 4: Depart with the morning boat to Liwonde National Park.

Most popular of all of Malawi’s National parks, with its beautiful riverine setting and teeming wildlife Liwonde National Park offers thrilling safaris. Wildlife viewing is enhanced because the River Shire flows along its western border, allowing boat safaris as well as the usual ones on foot or in 4x4s. The rough tracks and footpaths offer views of wildlife such as elephants, lions, cheetah, hippos and endangered black rhinos. River, grassland and woodland habitats are home to crocodiles, and antelopes. Rich birdlife includes rare species like Pel’s fishing owls and Lilian’s lovebirds.

Day 5: Enjoy the whole day in the Park. Participate in all available activities – walking safari, boat safari and game drives and visit one of the cultural villages.

Day 6: After breakfast Depart for Lilongwe.
