Policies

Reservations and Payments:

To secure your booking with Walitsani Tours and Travel, a deposit of $500 is required at the time of reservation. The remaining balance must be paid at least 30 days prior to your tour’s start date. Reservations made within 30 days of departure require full payment at the time of booking.

For group bookings of ten or more, a customized payment plan can be arranged. Please contact our team for more details.

Forms of Payments:

We accept the following forms of payment:

• Bank Transfers: Please ensure all bank fees are covered by the sender.
• Mobile Money: Available for local clients (please inquire for details).
• Credit/Debit Cards: Payments can be made through our secure online portal.
• PayPal/Venmo
• Cash: Accepted in our office at the time of booking.

Please note that all payments must be confirmed before the commencement of your tour.

Booking Changes or Cancellations:

If you need to change your booking, please notify us at least 14 days before your departure. We will do our best to accommodate your request, but changes may be subject to availability and additional charges.

Cancellations must be made in writing and are subject to the following fees:

• 30 days or more before departure: 20% of the total cost is non-refundable.
• 15-29 days before departure: 50% of the total cost is non-refundable.
• Less than 15 days before departure: 100% of the total cost is non-refundable.

In the event that Walitsani Tours and Travel must cancel your tour due to unforeseen circumstances, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule your trip.

Visa/ Special Permits:

Clients are responsible for ensuring they have the necessary visas and permits for travel to and within Malawi. We recommend checking with your local embassy or consulate for current requirements. Walitsani Tours and Travel can assist with visa inquiries and provide necessary documentation for special permits, where applicable.

Insurance:

We highly recommend that all clients obtain travel insurance to cover potential risks associated with their trip, including but not limited to trip cancellations, medical emergencies, death or loss of belongings. Insurance can provide peace of mind and financial protection during your travels. Walitsani Tours and Travel can recommend reputable insurance providers.
